WebDec 3, 2024 · The body of a guitar is the part where you strum or pick the strings. The neck is the section you hold with your fretting hand. The head (or headstock) is where you tune the guitar. These sections are the same on all types of guitar, with the exception of headless guitars which are designed without a headstock. WebThe large Strat headstock was the only one they knew. Indeed, just as many players came of age with the large headstock in the latter ’60s and '70s as had come of age with the small headstock from 1954 to late 1965.
