WebAug 25, 2011 · These strut towers seem to be a weak point on BMWs. Even my E39 has the same mushroomed towers. I reshaped them when I put in new Bilstein shocks and H&R lowering springs but I didn't put in any reinforcement. Within months after bottoming out several times, they have re-deformed again.
