For Bands 13-15 it will be a two per cent increase, and for bands 16-20, there will be a four per cent increase. This means that the top rate of VRT, for cars emitting more than 191g/km of CO 2, now stands at 41 per cent. The new VRT rates will come into force on January 1st, 2024.
